In a prepared statement by the Lyamec Corporation, the company said: "We have come highly
encouraged by the aim, vision, and determination of Mr. Seif Qaddafi. The spin-off was based on
a strategic and forward-looking approach complementing this very objective. This latest
positive step looks forward in continuing to work together to promote U.S. business investments
in Libya in order to fuel economic growth and to strengthen bilateral relations."
